Lead with kindness…

As the Sacred Paschal Triduum begins this evening, I want to encourage all of you that lead music teams to lead with excellence, and with kindness.

Your music and liturgies will be beautiful. Some things may not go as well as you hoped or planned. When mistakes are made, be kind.

Team members will ask questions that you covered in rehearsal. When they do, be kind.

If something requires a last minute change, do your best to serve that person and need. Yes, with kindness.

When you're stressed out and a family situation comes up...kindness.

As you lead, remember that people are excited to be a part of. They may not be as polished, prepared, or trained as you are. This is an opportunity to love on your people and elevate their Holy Week by being loving, patient, and kind.
